When Hadley’s boyfriend, Michael, took their adored bulldog, Dirk, on a walk while she finished packing for their upcoming getaway, the last thing she expected was a proposal.

But when Michael returned with their pup, he yelled, “Hadley, you have to come look at Dirk!” At first, she was worried something was wrong with him, but when she walked into the entryway of their apartment, her heart melted.

Deborah is William Goldberg’s daughter, and her husband, Barry Berg, works in the family business at William Goldberg; Michael is the grandson of William Goldberg.

The Goldbergs helped Michael create Hadley’s dream ring, designing a timeless engagement ring for her. It featured a 3-carat emerald cut center diamond with two diamonds flanking the center stone.

A Glimpse Into The Couple’s Intimate NYE Weekend Wedding

For their wedding day, Michael and Hadley knew they wanted a small, intimate ceremony with 16 of their immediate family members. They chose to wed in Washington, D.C. — where they met five years before — at the iconic Riggs Hotel on New Year's weekend.

Michael’s beloved Rabbi from college, Rabbi Shippel, married him and Hadley in a traditional Jewish ceremony, and it was truly so special for both of them.

After the ceremony, the newly married couple enjoyed a romantic candlelit dinner with their guests, followed by cocktails and dancing. When Michael and Hadley reflect on their special day, they wouldn’t change a thing — they’re still on cloud 9!
